Kashmir European Alliance observed Kashmir solidarity day in Norway
   

Oslo, (KEA), 10 Feb, 2011: Kashmri European Alliance observed Kashmir solidarity day in Norwegian capital Oslo. Chairman Kashmir Centre Brussels Barrister Abdul Majid Taramboo was chief guest on the occasion. The gathering was attended by a large number of important personalities and people of Kashmiri and Pakistani origin living in Norway.  Sardar Pervez Mehmood president Kashmir European Alliance presided the gathering.

 

The speakers who addressed the gathering were included;- Chief Coordinator Kashmir European Alliance Choudry Mukhtar Ahamed, Chief advisor Kashmir European Alliance Sardar Amir Khan, Voice Chairman Kashmir European Alliance Choudry Yusuf, Deputy head of mission embassy of Pakistan Naeem Sabir, Coordinator Kashmir Centre Brussels Raja Zaheer Ahmed, renowned politician Choudry Khalid Mahmood. Former Norwegian member Parliament Mr. Shabaz Tariq, Deputy speaker Norwegian Parliament Mr. Akhtar Choudry. Community Welfare attache embassy of Pakistan in Norway, renowned political figure Mr. Athar Ali and renowned student politician Mr. Sohib Zaki, Prominent figure Qaiser Saeed Sadique and senior politician Naveed Khaver.

Earlier during the day a combined  delegation of Kashmir European Alliance and Kashmir Centre Brussels, met with Norwegian parliament and department of foreign affairs in Norway.  The delegation consists of President Kashmir European Alliance Engineer Perez Mehmood, Chief Coordinator Kashmir European Alliance Chou dry Mukhtar Ahamed, Chairman Kashmir Centre Brussels Mr. A. Majid Taramboo and Coordinator Kashmir Centre Brussels Mr. Raja Zaheer Ahamed. Barrister A. Majid Taramboo briefed the Norwegian politicians and bureaucrats about the functions and activities of Kashmir Centre Brussels and the increasing focus on Kashmir issue in European Parliament. He demanded an extended involvement on Kashmir issue from Norwegian Government, NGO’s and and think tanks on a relative broader  and higher level of political and diplomatic arena.

Barrister Mujeed Taramboo has invited Norwegian parliament to Kashmir conference likely to be held on 11th of April in European Parliament this year. The members of Norwegian parliament  and department of foreign affairs assured the delegation that Norway will continue to raise voice against atrocities and human rights violations in Indian held Kashmir and will do more efforts to coordinate with rest of the Europe on Kashmir issue.
