Kashmir European Alliance has appealed to United Nations through parliament of
Norway to  check India for Human Rights violations in Indian held Kashmir.

Oslo,(KEA) July 28, 2010: A delegation comprising Chief Coordinator of Kashmir European Alliance Choudry Mukhtar Ahamed and President of Kashmir European Alliance Engineer Pervez Mehmood has met with Mr. Peter S. Gitmark and handed over a memorandum to Norwegian parliament to protest against the use of brutal force and killings in Indian Occupied Kashmir during the last two months.

Mr. Peter S. Gitmark is the member of Norwegian parliament and also spokesman of Conservative party of Norway for foreign affairs. According to the recent polls, Conservative Party is the largest party of Norway and leader of party Ms. Erne Solberg is most likely the next prime minister of the Norway.

Kashmir European Alliance has appealed to United Nations through parliament of Norway to press India to conduct probe into the killings that have taken place in the Valley for the past two months allegedly in firing by paramilitary CRPF and police and to release Syed Ali Shah Geelani and other Hurriet leaders.
More than twenty people mostly teenagers were killed in the Valley during the past two months allegedly in police and CRPF action. The killings resulted in fast deteriorating law and order situation in the Valley with people coming out on the roads to protests against the unabated killings, mostly of teenagers. The state government had to call in Army, first time since early 90's, and clamped Valley-wide curfew to enforce peace.

For the last sixty one years the people of Jammu and Kashmir have been struggling for the achievement of their inalienable right of self-determination, which has been assured to them by both Pakistan and India approved by United Nations under various resolutions of Security Council. Instead of fulfilling its international obligations initiated at the behest of the then Prime Minister of India Mr Nehru in 1948, and the assurances given to the people of Jammu & Kashmir, the Indian government has used its brutal force to suppress the voice of people. The whole terrain of Kashmir has been turned into killing field and men, women and children have been killed with impunity. Arbitrary arrests, illegal detentions, custodial killings and so on.

Looting and extortions are rampant throughout the length and breadth of valley. Kashmir European Alliance ahs conveyed to the world in general and to the concerned quarters in particular that there is no terrorism in Kashmir. The people of Jammu Kashmir State are struggling for their inherent, internationally recognised and pledged right of self-determination using the ways and means that the UN Resolution No. 2621 of General Assembly has allowed to enthralled nations for their freedom struggle.

A continued denial of the right to self-determination to the Kashmiri people is morally unacceptable, economically unsustainable and politically inadmissible with regard to any scheme aimed at ensuring global and regional peace, stability and security. Kashmir dispute can never be resolved without the participation and consensus of the people of Kashmir.

a).Kashmir European Alliance has called upon India to end its forcible occupation of Jammu and Kashmir and also desist from use of brutal force against the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

b). Kashmir European Alliance has  called upon India to Take all effective measures in giving the people of the State, the chance to exercise their right to Self determination for deciding their future as has been conceded to  them by Pakistan, India and UN and approved by the United Nations Organization.

c). Kashmir European Alliance has demanded Withdrawal of all occupation forces, release all political detainees in Indian occupied Kashmir and to repeal all draconian laws.
