Kashmir European Alliance arranged conducive meetings on Kashmir issue

 

Oslo,(KEA) 23 0ctober, 2010: Barrister Sultan Mahmood Choudry Ex, Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir has been invited by the Oslo based organization, Kashmir European Alliance

A delegation of Kashmir European Alliance headed by Barristers Sultan Mahmood Choudry met with a delegation of Foreign Ministry of Norway here on Thursday 21 October. The Delegation was headed by representative of South Asia Mr. Janis Bjørn Kanavin. Barrister Sultan Mahmood was assisted by Chief Coordinator of Kashmir European Alliance Mr. Mukhtar Ahamed Choudry and President of Kashmir European Alliance Mr. Pervez Mehmood.

The delegation briefed the Foreign Office about the current situation in Indian Jammu & Kashmir. The delegation told the Foreign Office that the struggle for freedom in Jammu & Kashmir is indigenous and there is no cross border terrorism. Kashmir European Alliance thanked Norway for a genuine and comprehensive approach towards Kashmir dispute. Foreign Office of Norway assured Kashmir European Alliance for their continued support and facilitation offer for Kashmir issue.

In another meeting later on the same day, with a delegation of standing committee on Defense and Foreign Affairs in Norwegian Parliament, Kashmir European Alliance appealed Norwegian Government to raise voice for a thorough investigation into the human rights violations and deliberate youth murders taking place in occupied Kashmir. He told the delegation that continued massive abuses of human rights in Indian occupied Kashmir are an impediment in advancing the cause of peace in South Asia. Indian intransigence stands as a roadblock.

The delegation of Kashmir European Alliance was headed by President of Kashmir European Alliance Mr. Pervez Mehmood. Barrister Sultan Mahmood Choudry was assisted by Choudry Mukhtar Ahamed Chief Coordinator Of Kashmir European Alliance and Chairman Of Kashmir European Alliance Sardar Shabbir Ahamed Khan.

The delegation of Standing Committee on Norwegian Parliament was headed by Peter S Gitmark.

Kashmir European Alliance also arranged a meeting with General Secretary Of Labor Party of Norway Mr. Raymond Johansen and Barrister Sultan Mahmood Choudry.

Barrister Sultan Mahmood Choudry Ex, Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir told labor party of Norway that Kashmir was situated at the heart of three nuclear powers of the world – India, Pakistan & China - which makes it the most dangerous place on earth. He reminded the participants that the presence of 700,000 Indian military and paramilitary forces has made Kashmir the largest army concentration anywhere in the world. He also said that the European Parliamentary delegation has sad that Kashmir was the most beautiful prison on earth. It is in the very national interest of world powers including the United States to find a lasting and durable solution of the Kashmir problem.
